Social Media and Internet Usage Task 5:

'Social Networks don't bring us closer together as we now talk through computers rather than to each other.' Although I disagree with this statement, I do think that communicating through Social Networks does loose the personal face-to-face feel. In my opinion, I think it is wrong to communicate with someone, who is in the same room as you, through Social Networks because it isn't as personal or as sociable. However, if you matter to be communicating with someone who might be in another country or city, it keeps you in touch and up to date with one another. If it wasn't for Social Networks, a lot of people would loose contact with others if they have moved away etc, which conveys how Social Networks bring us closer together.

Social Media and Internet Use Task 4:

If I was to promote the label of an artist on social media I would: Create a post where people have to like and share it, in order to instantly be placed into a competition for a giveaway of two free tickets to one of the gigs of their artists. By doing this, you would be gaining a larger clientele base and would be filling the gigs. Play snippets of the artists' songs and then leave it on a cliff hanger with a link to iTunes or something, in order to get people to purchase their music. I'd let fans send in questions that they want to ask one of the artists and then create a post where the artist answers them in order to create a more direct bond with the artists and the fans. Get people to share and advertise the label for the chance of winning a song made personally for them by one of the artists. Post music videos of the artists and every time somebody liked the post more of the video would be released. This would advertise the songs, the art...
