I think social media has a negative impact the way news is gathered and reported. Although it could be seen as a good way to inform the younger generation and social media users of the latest issues etc, I find a lot of the news you see on social media sites isn't accurate or they report stories that are totally fake. By doing this, many of the public could be infected by the fake news and become mislead, causing fear or disputes. Furthermore, by gathering the news on social media sites, affects the traditional ways of distributing the news through  papers, for example, and aggravates the issue of people spending too long on social media sites or using technology too often.

 After reading the article, I am beginning to believe that the media has tried to manipulate the public's view of Jeremy Corbyn because they have been biased in the fact that they are deliberately displaying him in a constantly negative manner. Also, some of the media even failed to publish his views and what he was proposing correctly, which will have an affect on his popularity with the public. This is also conveyed in statistics as a larger amount of people agreed that the coverage had been deliberately biased to portray Corbyn negatively (51%) than those who claimed they "wasn't sure" (21%).
